This year’s all-star team included Moncton Dixie Lee Mets catcher John Haimowitz, first baseman Serge Vautour, second baseman Stefan Martin,
Chatham Miramichi Honda Ironmen righty and designated hitter Dylan Lester, shortstop Kris Keating and right-fielder Mike McKay.
Charlottetown Gaudet’s Auto Body Islanders lefty Brody McDonald, left-fielder Duncan Picketts and centre-fielder Jack Kraft were each recognized
at their respective positions, along with Fredericton St. Louis Bar and Grill Royals third baseman Adam Estey.
In 28 games with the Mets this year, Haimowitz recorded a .333 batting average, with 33 hits in 99 at-bats. He drove in 23 runs and stole 12 bases.
Vautour, meanwhile, hit at a .387 clip, with 29 hits in 75 at-bats. He drilled four home runs, notched 24 RBIs, and stole seven bases.
Martin finished the season with a .368 average thanks to his 21 hits in 57 at-bats. He also batted in eight runs.
Lester, a Texas product, won his second consecutive hitting title after recording a .409 batting average, with 17 hits in 38 at-bats.
He registered 32 singles, four doubles, and two home runs while driving in 15 runs and stealing five bases.
On the mound, Lester also led the league in wins with seven.
He posted a 7-3 win-loss mark with a 1.31 earned-run average while scattering 29 runs on 62 hits, fanning 52 and walking 24 in 65-plus innings over a 12-game span.

Keating boasted a .358 batting average this year after connecting for 34 hits in 95 at-bats and five homers, logging 25 RBIs, and stealing five bases.
McKay’s average this year was .330 (29 hits, 88 at-bats). He had nine RBIs, a dinger, and 12 stolen bases.
On the mound, he went 2-1 and surrendered 13 runs on 25 hits while fanning 13 and walking nine and posting a 3.68 ERA in 19 innings over a five-game span.
McDonald’s league-best ERA was 2.00. His pitching line also consisted of a 5-1 record, 18 runs, 45 hits, 14 walks, and 32 strikeouts in 42 innings over eight games.
Picketts hit at a .267 pace (16 hits in 60 at-bats) with two homers and 11 RBIs.
Kraft, a former Ironmen import, was a force at the dish with his .400 average (28 hits in 70 at-bats), four dingers, and 19 RBIs.
Estey finished the regular season with 18 stolen bases and nine dingers. He also posted a .360 hitting average, tickling the twine 32 times in 89 at-bats and recording 17 RBIs.
